If I have to choose one place in the world to go sport climbing, my vote is on Margalef. I just love everything about this little valley. The routes are almost always just excellent. The valley is beautiful. The weather is good. And let’s not forget: the olive oil produced here is the best in the world! (Well, according to me of course.)
The last couple of times I have visited this little paradise I’ve bumped in to Dani Andrada, Chris Sharma, Daila Ojeda, Dave Graham and other world class climbers. But don’t worry, among the ~600 routes there are plenty for everyone from beginners to these mutants.
Expect plenty of more information about Margalef here in the future! Meanwhile, you can read more about the Siurana & Costa Daurada-area here.
