Let’s be honest: You don’t go to Costa Brava to climb. But if you for some reason find yourself in Costa Brava, there is a fair amount of climbing that can be reached in about an hour or so from the coast. Both the limestone and the granite is of excellent quality and the bigger areas like Sadernes and Solius will not make you disappointed.
Season:
Summer is warm, the rest of the year is OK.
Main areas:
Solius – Granite area with grades mainly between 4 and 7b.
Sadernes – Fairly big limestone area with many different crags. Some access issue, make sure to check at the camping before climbing. The steeper sectors are possible to climb in rain. Grades between 4-8b.
